Aki Lee (b.1992) is a Vienna based Chinese artist, urban practitioner, and PhD candidate with a background in Social Design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.

Since 2014, she has taken on adaptive roles in governmental and private urban regeneration projects across Eurasia and at multiple scales, which has provided her with extensive experience in understanding the antagonistic interplay between bureaucracy and everyday struggles. Her practice is grounded in artistic and participatory research, with a particular focus on playful urban tools that bring situated perspectives and cultural contexts into processes of social transformation.
